Happy Birthday Rickey (R2)

Today is Rickey Jo's Birthday. She is one year old today. She is such a doll. She loves grampa, peas, mandarin oranges, crackers, oh let's just say FOOD!. She loves to read books and go outside. She says "uh oh" really well because she like the game: Throw it on the floor. She always smiles and is happy. She had a big birthday BBQ last Saturday. Here are a few pictures from the day. Note the awesome cake (all edible) that Aunt Julie made her. We love her oodles! So have a happy day! Love you grama and grampa.

Happy Birthday Tiffany Jo. Today is my oldest daughter's birthday. She was born 32 years ago today. I remember the day perfectly (of course). She has been a joy to me all her life. She is married to Rickey Brown and has a darling daughter of her own (Rickey Jo). We had the traditional "birthday dinner" (her choice) with Honey and Papa and Julie and the kids. We really enjoy spending any time with family especially if food is involved. Of course she wouldn't let me get a good picture so this will have to do. Wish her a happy one!

A New Beginning?

Well, I guess it was inevitable. I need to start blogging with the rest of you. Because we are retired now, it will be interesting to see what exciting things we can come up with to post. We live for our kids and grand kids, but 75% of the family is out of state. This can cause extreme empty nest syndrome. Top it off with severe depression and old age, we fill our days with eating, sleeping and just puttering. We will do our best at keeping you informed.
